Haly Parchman (1894-1986) built the drive-in on his land facing Grapevine Highway. The specialties were burgers and malts. A sign on the side of the building beckons “Welcome travelers- fill up free ice water.” There were very few places to stop as one traveled from Fort Worth to Grapevine at that time.
