They had 5 children together. He built their home on the southeast corner of what is now Rufe Snow Drive and Shauna Drives. The Birdville-Watauga Road was renamed Rufe Snow Drive in his honor. The Snow Heights Addition was also named for him. He built a large house for his wife, Ruth Daley Jones, on his farm northwest of Pipeline Road and Grapevine Highway. Part of this farm was later subdivided into 182 lots. The first streets were named for family members: Daley, Blaney, Cummings, Turner Terrace, and Briley. In the second platting of the reminder of the farm, Jones named the streets for popular car models of the time: Victoria, Holiday Lane, Deville, and Riviera. The bombers crashed to the earth about two miles northeast of Birdville where Richland Plaza is today. One plane broke in two and dropped in a creek bed. The other dived into a nearby wheat field. Title A name given to the resource Mason's Hobby Lobby Subject The topic of the resource Small Business Hobbies Description An account of the resource Mason’s Hobby Lobby, established in 1953, is the oldest continuously operated business in North Richland Hills Located at 6905 Grapevine Highway/ Contractor-builder Paul Mason (1907-1977) built the shop next to his home for his wife, Juanita. She taught art lessons in the store and he made frames for her many customers. She worked closely with Birdville schools through their arts and crafts classes. The business was taken over by the Mason’s grandson John “Tripp” McGuffin sine Juanita Mason’s Death in 1988. After World War 2 he started a telegraph-teletype school and a woodworking shop in his home. He also installed his own water system. The large overhead water storage tank was the only one in the area in the 1940s. Title A name given to the resource Rapid Mart Grocery store Subject The topic of the resource Grocery trade Small Business Description An account of the resource Haly Parchman and son Stanley Parchman and built the Rapid Mart on family land around 1955. The grocery store was located at 6969 Grapevine Highway. The store was officially owned by Tully Angle and Stanley Parchman. The store was best known for top-quality meat, doubtless in part because Haly had worked for Armour Packing Company for more than 40 years. They also offered free delivery twice a day.
