The one pictured was opened for the 1926 school year after the previous building burned. The two-story building had four classrooms on the lower floor and four classrooms and an auditorium on the second floor. The red brick building was demolished in 1956. Terrell’s cabin, 6100 Broadway Street, in Haltom City, Texas is believed to have served as the county seat from August 1850- November 1856 until Fort Worth won the county seat by a small margin in a highly contested special election.
