He built a large house for his wife, Ruth Daley Jones, on his farm northwest of Pipeline Road and Grapevine Highway. Part of this farm was later subdivided into 182 lots. The first streets were named for family members: Daley, Blaney, Cummings, Turner Terrace, and Briley. In the second platting of the reminder of the farm, Jones named the streets for popular car models of the time: Victoria, Holiday Lane, Deville, and Riviera. They had 5 children together. He built their home on the southeast corner of what is now Rufe Snow Drive and Shauna Drives. The Birdville-Watauga Road was renamed Rufe Snow Drive in his honor. The Snow Heights Addition was also named for him.
