Edgar Douglass Walker (1870-1954) and son Moody Childress (1900-1977) Walker in front of Walker’s service station on Main Street in Smithfield. The station later burned in Smithfield’s second great fire in 1930. Walker was also a blacksmith.
Texas General Edward H. Tarrant commanded two expeditions into present Tarrant County in 1842. The monument to Edward H. Tarrant, erected in 1931, is located in Pioneer’s Rest Cemetery in Fort Worth.
An envelope that included a letter from Senator Ralph Yarborough to Clarence Jones. The letter invited Jones to dinner to cap off President Kennedy's fateful visit to Texas.
